Stalling Problems...Could Control Pressure Reg. be Culprit? 200 1985

Hello Yet Again Bricksters,

My '85 244 turbo stalls at every stop. Restarts only if you feather the gas pedal. Running rich (duty cycle >90%)and a bit of oscillation on idle (880-970rpm). Tried leaner mixtures, but then the car WILL NOT START?? Have done lots of diagnostics: NO vac leaks, including intake manifold gasket. The control pressure regulator was out of specs according to Bentley's (off 10 ohms cold test; off 1 ohm warm test). Is this acceptable range?(even though Bentley's say replace) Can it contribute to stalling? Curious.

As an aside, if I rev the engine with just a single tap of gas pedal (then completely remove foot from accelerator, car will stall and die...Always when cold and usually when warm.

Thanks for any help. Hope to solve this to make car sellable.
