Electric fan won't run-relay has no pc board to solder! 900 92

My electric radiator fan will not come on, I can hear chattering from the relay. When I opened it up, there was no printed circuits to resolder. metal straps go from the connector pins to the relay. Any suggestions on how to fix the relay or should I just replace it? Should I be looking somewhere else as to why the fan won't run?
