Trannie mount causing bad vibes? 140-160 73

I installed a new transmission mount this weekend. The new part -- non OEM, I think -- was a finger or two thicker than the old mount and the bolts seemed slightly less offset. Since then, I notice some nasty vibration, most pronounced at startup, at shutdown before the engine quits turning and in reverse.

At first I attributed this to the exhaust pipe banging on the body, but I wonder if the new mount is making the transmission ride highenough to cause a driveline vibration.

Has anyone encountered this? Should I reinstall with a Volvo part?

Sorry for the frequent posts, but that's what I get for buying a car made during the Nixon era.
