More TD-3141 Radio Questions 700 1985

Does anyone know what the two wire connector orange/black coming from the radio connects to ?? I am replacing a broken aftermarket with a TD -3141 Tuner and have the display up and still no low level audio out the 6 Pin DIN connector that goes to the AMP..although the AMP does click on with the radio. Also no stereo light although the LED is OK and tuner appers to work fine. Are audio output problems common to the TD-3141? I thought this connector might be some sort of mute connection or enable the audio preamp from another source. I have full resources on my bench but no schematic or history on this unit..(maybe it would make a good fishing sinker)
