Wagon tailgate trim replacement 700 1992

My 740 Turbo wagon just shed the thin strip of rubber trim at the base of the tailgate. This looks like a one-piece item where the upper rubber Just at the base of the glass) is attached to a metal or plastic piece, and there is then a thin rubber strip between the metal and the painted surface. Volvo wants about $80 for a new strip, but I imagine I could find one at a salvage yard. How would I remove and reattach it without breaking it? Thanks!
