760 A/C Evaporator Detail Question 700 1989

If anyone has seen the evaporator in a 700 series before, I have a detail

question. My a/c seems to be running low on R12 and it is only marginally

cooling. The outside vents are substantially cooler than the center vents.

The question is whether anyone knows how the ducts are arranged off of the

evap unit. Are the outside vent lines off the top of the evap and the center vent lines off the bottom? This would explain the performance if the exp valve taps in on the top of the evap.

This is just arm chair quarterbacking, I'm going to work on it with a friend who has a/c equip and license, I was just wondering the setup.
