Do these specs show a working O2 Sensor? 200 88

88, 245

Bosch Jetronic

3 wire O2 sensor

Recently I tested my O2 sensor. I used the Haynes manual that says to disconnect it. I may have tested the wrong end of the connector too. But I got a steady .500 most of the time. sometimes it would go to .001 or .000 (nothing). So today I use the Bentley manual and it says to leave the sensor connector, connected. I did that. No .500, just a .001,and then suddenly it started flashing various numbers, from .002 thru .007 and everything in between. The suddenly it would go back to .001 or .000 Is this a good or bad O2 sensor? (Not sure if the meter is not what it could be or if it is okay. The numbers seemed to flash by when I pushed the tip of the probes into a negative ground harder. I use the bolts at the top of the strut towers to ground the meter.)
