I don't need no stinking fan! 700 89

As I had removed my radiator fan to change the tining belt on my B234, i decided to experiment with not having one. It's getting into fall up here and I thought I'd try it with no fan. Plus the car has an elecric fan, which virtually never comes on. In fact they usualy freeze up from non use.

The car idles fine (and warms up very fast) without overheating. Of course I am not using AC now. The electric fan does kick on at idle, but it does not do much as in trying to pussh the air through the condenser and radiator, most of the air just blows out the front air dam scoop!

Volvos are recognizable by their loud fans, my car is definately quieter now.

I'm thinking I could re-mount the pusher fan in back of the radiator and reverse the wiring to it to make it a puller fan. It would work much better/

Anyone tried any of this?
