Need to identify Replacement wiring harness 200 1983

My 1983 245 Volvo needs the engine wiring harness replaced. I have read many of the postings and archives on this subject and believe the best fix is to buy a new or used harness and replace all of the harness.

I found Dave's Volvo Wire Harness page (dbarton@linkline.com) who pulls good harness out of salvage cars. I also got a quote for a new harness - the dealer asked only if the car was fuel injected and had a turbo (it is FI and does not have a turbo).

My question is: After looking at the photos of the used harness on Dave's site, my wiring connectors appear to be a combination of the late '82 harness and the '83-'84 Non-Turbo harness. My car has the rectanular white connector at the ECU (P/N 1317295) and the additional connectors shown for the '83-'84 Non- Turbo harness.

After decoding the serial number (YV1AX885DT441985), my car is number 7525 of the 71,295 built in 1983. Did Volvo do a mix of parts at model year changeover? How do I identify the correct harness to buy?

Thanks. I really enjoy reading this board.
