Oil pressure gauge 200 1989

Hi all,

I overtightened the nut that holds the wire onto the sending unit of the oil pressure gauge. Of course the tower broke off and now I have nothing to attach the wire to. My question is twofold:

1) There are two towers on the sending unit the one on the left and one on the right (I broke the one on the left). Can I use the one on the right to connect my wire to.

2)If I can't do that, can I solder the wire back onto where I broke the tower off (I tried but can't get it to stick)

Any thoughts,

Joe
