Thanks for the replies on seat heaters... I might go with an aftermarket unit just to see how it works.

I just sampled an aftermarket heater unit (seat and seatback both) on a Jetta with leather, and they worked really well. So, I have a line on them. If I get one, I'll let y'all know if it works well and what it is.
