Re: How about sun roofs, how dependable are they? 900

Martinsr:

I purchased my 92 745t (essentially a 940 with 740 badges) third hand 20,000 miles ago (now has 127,000) and the sun roof has performed flawlessly to this day (it will probably break on the way home this evening now that I have boasted about how great it is). True, they can be a bear to fix. However, based on the relative number of posts relating to sunroofs on the Brickboard during the last year and a half I feel that sunroofs are not a "problem area" like fuel injection relays, radius arm bushings or 240 series blower motors.

There is a section in the 700\900 FAQ that relates to sunroof care and repair. Take care of it and like any other part of a Volvo, chances are good it will last much longer than some other brand of vehicle on the road.

Hope this helps and good luck
