I love my tranny...it makes noises.. help? 200 80

OK heres the deal..i had the tranny replaced a while back because the OD unit self destructed and there were metal shards in the tranny. So i had a working used one installed set me back like 900 bucks. Bout a little less than a year has gone by and now i have this nasty grinding noise in first, second, and third gear. the noise goes faster with speed and is only made when the clutch petal is out. So what in the world do i have goin on here??? It goes in on thursday to get fixed. If it gets replaced that would be the third tranny in it. So i think im gonna move on to a 2.2litre vtech DOHC. I hate to leave the world of volvos but for the 8500 i have put in my 1980 i could have been almost to a show quality honda....

Wow im stuck. But anyway no opinions on me wanting to cut out on the volvo world (maybe). I just need to know what in the world is up with the tranny. And if you know anyone who might like my ride that lives in sacramento CA or in Cali let me know. But the tranny has to get fixed, its first on the list right now...so HHHHHEEEEEELLLLPPPPP!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much in advance
