Re: Help...Frozen Nuts on fuel filter 200 85

i have a 91 240 and a similar fuel filter is mounted on a suspended bracket under the car. it is difficult to get to and full of nasty undercoating. assuming you have 'banjo' fittings on a similar type fuel filter, it sounds you are having a similar problem, but your filter is on your firewall.

i used an impact wrench and it came off instantly. just give it a short blast and it will quickly loosen the banjo nut. i never had to disconnect the hoses. i was told the hoses are 'molded' and can not be spliced, meaning i would have to replace the entire hose (i am not sure about that, but that is what i was told).

Also, plenty of info on this in the 'archives' of the brickboard.
