instrument cluster wiring 200 1983

I am trying to complete a diesel conversion (84 24D recipient of running

gear, etc. from 83 245 GL).

The B23F in the 24D is running fine. My problem at this point is the

instrument cluster and dash/console reconstruction.

The 84 had no tach; the 83 did. I'm finding a very different pattern for the

wiring connections (the individual wire connections only, the multiple-wire

plugs are virtually identical) on the instrument panel. Bentley and Haynes

don't help much in this regard.

I have the carcass of the 83 so it would be easy to transplant individual

connections. The instrument panel had been disconnected and the wires in the

vicinity of the I.P. are scrambled.

Does anyone have a dismantled 240 of this vintage with intact wiring to an

I.P. with a tach? Or other resources to help? Thanks in advance.

Phillip
