965 Suspension Mods - This Look Funny To You? 900 92

As I've done with every Volvo since my '74 144, I ordered a set of IPD sway bars for my latest '92 965, and while I was at it, got some Boge Turbo Gas front shocks and some red poly stay arm bushings from another source. Left the Nivomats in the rear.

After the mechanic installed all this stuff, I went on an extended test drive and things didn't feel quite right - certainly the bars made cornering flatter, but overall it just felt "funny" - for one thing, steering effort was higher when parking - that's never happened before. And the front end didn't just didn't feel stuck to the ground.

So I looked at the front end and noticed that the tires seemed to be sitting a lot farther forward - within an inch of the front lip of the wheel well. (picture 1)

And the sway bar link seemed to be tilted at a jauntier angle than I'd seen before on other installs (picture 2) - and the nut that holds on practically touches the rubber boot on the tie rod when the steering is at full lock.

So I'm wondering if maybe those poly bushings have pushed everything forward a bit (?). Picture 3 shows the front bushing and pic 4 shows the rear one.

And whether keeping those rear Nivos instead of replacing rear springs/shock with the same Boges would fix that squirrelly feeling I get while speeding along.
