HAHAHAHA!!!

Any brickboarders on the southbound Tri State Tollway coming out of the Waukegan gate last Monday? I was in the company of several Volvos.

At maybe 3:30pm, I hit 100 uphill with a bike rack on the roof and everything, between the Waukegan gate and the Grand Avenue exit to Gurnee. I had a head start because I take the toll express lane that gives you a 40mph jump start on everyone who has to throw change.

Then I hit 90 between Grand and Milwaukee Ave before exiting.

Then 85 on freshly-paved 120 westbound between 21 and Hunt Club Rd. Got the typical old broke-ass GM pickup with the testosterone-contest driver who wanted to keep everyone out of "his" lane. (He was successful... I mean, 350 vs. B230?)

ANYWAY... Yes, still around 90 in the cooler months, on certain parts of interstates. With the A/C on, 75.

But I drive pretty sedately in the 'burbs, within 10mph of the limit usually. Why risk either a ticket or splattering someone?
