I drive a 1990 740GL with 224,000 miles. I've owned it for 7 seven years. I would say I've put about $1800 in repairs per year. I'd love to drive it another two years. I will most likely fix the current issue, even if costly (new car insurance is ridiculous in NJ) It is a very comfortable car. Right now I am having a problem with my automatic transmission. At 30 mph, it does not shift unless I let up on the gas. The fluid level if fine. I'm actually here to begin looking for some advise on the issue.
