I dont think the inner diameter of the boost hose matters much. The actual pressure it carries is quite small. For what its worth, I replaced all the vacuum hoses (and turbo boost hose) on my 740 Turbo with NAPA fuel line. the line is about 1/8 inner diameter and works great with no bulging or sucking shut. If you don't like the red boost pressure line supplied, try the NAPA hose, it will probably last a lot longer. Sorry I cant help out with the picture questions you pose.
