my friend is also the proud owner of an older volvo 240 wagon and hes having some troubles. just need a little help troubleshooting some of the problems. first of all, his overdrive takes some time to warm up before it will actually stay engaged. from what im hearing from from the previous message, its probably just low on fluid. i dont know if i really get it or not but od is just an automatic atached to the manual? that means it uses atf which expands when heated up? maybe? also, his brakes suck. the brake failure light doesnt come on but they feel very hard. is this a bad booster? doesnt seem to be leaking and that would make them squishy anyway right. stuck piston on caliper wouldnt do that right? any help would be appreciated.

cory
