You might also take a look on www.autotrader.com to see what similar cars are selling for in your area. As Chris noted, Volvo prices seem to vary quite a bit by region; if you're in New England or the Pacific Northwest, prices seem to be insanely out of whack with the rest of the country. In the South, Volvos seem to be relatively inexpensive (if you can find one for sale!) I paid $6700 for my '94 940T (103K) earlier this year.
