Should I replace the Knock Sensor???? 700 1988

I just checking the knock sensor on my car as it was not idling do good and I was getting some predetonation occuring (like mixing marbles) during acceleration using 90 octane gas. I physically removed and checked the sensor and it seemed good. I checked resistance across the terminals and I my digital meter noted infinite resistance (O.L). I saw in the facts section that a new sensor should read around 4.2 M-Ohm.

Should I assume my sensor is bad and needs to be replaced.
