They're right about the Crane XP700, it's a superior system, and you can find it for $100-125 if you look around.

For $75 or so you can also get the Perlux from pertronics which fit's into the distributor and is fine for a stock engine with no modifications.

You may need to do a little rewiring to keep the tach operating.
