Hola Bricksters:

Which is the "correct" oil grade to use on my B230 engine? I live in deepest South Texas (just above Hell) and I thought to help the Volvo cope with this heat, I would either use 10W40 or even 15W50. I've been using 10W40 since 1975 on Volvos and have experienced no oil related problems. For the past 3 years, it's been 15W50.

I've also used the oil filters "housebrand" from BiPolarboys Auto Parts.

Again ,no problema.

What gives??? Am I going to have Thor pay a visit and flog me???
