Re: Points vs. electronic ignition 1800 1973

I put the Crane sytem in my '73 1800ES and have only one issue: seems I now have an intermittent Tic in my Tach. It flicks around, not consistently, but enough to be anoying.

Engine runs fine, not an issue there. Just this annoying "tic" in the Tach.

IPD instructions talk to the potential need to rewire the Tach to handle the higher power passing through the coil in the tach. I did not do it as my problem does not seem to be a problem with excessive power, just a tic.
