Timing belt cover 200 88

Hi all. This past weekend i had an oil change done to my car. When I pop the hood and looked. The whole timing belt cover was completely off. I have no idea how this could have happened. I had a new timing belt and tensioner put on last Nov.I just got back from a weekend road trip to Memphis Tn.last monday. I live in Chgo. Before leaving Memphis I checked the oil and installed new rear rotors and pads. So right now I do not have a tbc.Is it ok to drive like this until I get to the salvge? Also will any tbc from another 240 fit my timing belt. Thank You.
