Re: any comments? 200 1990

Several years ago, I came upon a small landslide up in the Cascades. I couldn't avoid a basketball-sized boulder and straddled it. My 245 with four passengers became airborne for quite a ways! The damage was: splash pan broken, bent front crossmember, and the steering rack was damaged although the car was driveable. Of course, the alignment was off. There may have been more damage that I can't remember. The boulder left marks on the pan, tranny, and differential but they were OK. This sure helped to convince me of Volvo's toughness!. If it had been my K-car, it would have been gutted like a fish.
