Re: Fosterize it?/misc. OD stuff

Well I will be insterested to find out the answer to this problem as the OD on my 82 240 M46 does the same thing. When the temperature is above 85 the OD works right away. In a cool morning I might have to drive up to 15 miles before the OD works. I have taken the OD relay out and removed the cover(This is the second one in the car)and checked it for cracks. The picture the Don Foster has for the circuit board doesn't match the one on the unit I have. The OD works very smoothly. This transmission is the second in the car as the original transmission the OD locked up and it was cheaper to replace the transmission than try and fix it. The fluid level has been kept up as there is a small leak in the rear seal, which I don't plan on fixing until the clutch is replaced sometime in the future.
