Jerry, Yours is the 4th gear switch. Try this on a cool morning before you have driven anywhere.

Engine OFF, ignition on, shift lever in 4th. Push button. No dash light, pull shift lever further back and to the right then try button again. If you get the ligth the switch is bad. This test indicates a bad 4th gear switch about 90 per cent of the time. The other 10 percent is found with an ohm meter on the 4th gear switch wire at the relay socket.
