Re: Source of engine knock found!!! 700 90

Hey Dick, as it turns out, i have a friend with a holden (GM) commodore here in Australia (auto version), who has had to have his flex plate replaced, the old one was cracked....HOW???? Well, what he used to do, was floor the accellerator and push it in to drive at about 4000rpms........it used to make a "tuck tuck tuck tuck tuck" sound as he drove....Something else he used to do, was hold the brake down hard, and floor it in drive, and then let off the brake.....

I imagine that would increase line pressure a HUGE amount, explaining why his cracked!!

Did you ever do this???? hehe,

see ya,

Az
