Years ago, I asked some tech folks about doing this. The answer I got was that it wouldn't hurt, but that it probably wasn't necessary. Use a good synthetic ATF, and your wear will be extremely limited. There really isn't much of a source for outside particles, unlike the engine has.

I've done oil analysis on automatics with as much as 180K on them and everything was fine without extra filtration.
