how to improve gas mileage on 87' 760 Turbo? 700 87

I was wondering if anyone knew of any tips on getting better gas mileage with the 760 Turbo. I've seen special air filters advertised on TV but am skeptical. I'm pretty new to cars, as this 760 has been handed down to me and I really enjoy it although I had to put $2k into it immediately for front end and transmission work plus power window work. I got it with 147k miles on it, and just hit the 150k mark this past weekend. What's a realistic figure on how many miles I can put into it without another major repair(eg. $2k.) Keep in mind that I am driving this car in Maine and I drive it every day.
