Tricky one Jim,

I take it form the use of the word 'wagon' you're in the US so I don't know if there are any organisations on your side of the pond who could help.

A lot of manuals list the engine/chassis number ranges for different years - it wouldn't tell you if yours did come from elsewhere but it would narrow things down if the year proved correct.

If you know who the supplying dealer was you could see if they still have records.

The final thing would be writing to or emailing Volvo in Sweden or the importer for the US.
