I had to smile when I read your assessment of working on VWs; I tend to agree, but my neighbour across the street, who is a heavy-truck mechanic (shop foreman for a trucking company), enjoys working on the VWs owned by himself, his daughter, and her boyfriend. Go figure!

He's driven my 740 though, and he's thinking about a 740/940 for his wife. We may change his thinking yet!
