problems 200 84

here we go... i recently transferred the engine from my 88 240 sedan into an 84 245 wagon. both vehicles had been sitting for a few months, and i was having trouble getting the wagon started when i got the engine back in. to make a long story short, i burned up the starter motor while trying to get it going, and i am having trouble getting it out. i mean, i can't even SEE the bolt that holds the starter motor in, much less get to it. are there any special tricks? i am sure that it is a simple procedure, i must be blowing it way out of round.... thanks
