Radio buzzes with engine after battery moved 700 1987

I'd appreciate a minute's help, probably real simple, to get my radio to stop singing a tune that varies with engine speed.

It started when I relocated the battery to the trunk area (a lifelong dream when life = Minnesota winters + RWD) and strung #2 cables to the front of the car (under the trim above the rocker panels). I consulted with my EE brother and others, and figured I didn't have to *twist* the cables. Wellllll.... the "zzzzzzzt" tone I get now on the radio varies with engine speed.

Connections suspect? Relocate some component? (Whoopee! Ha.) Reverse the whole deal? (Nah. I can live with this better than I can live with winter.)

Thanks!

Gregg
