Houston.......We Have Boost Control! 200 85

The Grainger valve (Dawes Device) works! The only two problems were the barbed nipple on the intake side and the 90 degree elbow. McMaster Carr doesn't sell the "intake" female 1/4" thread/barbed nipple except by the ten pack! I found a 1/4"X1/4" at the local H@E hardware for a buck and change. The output end is a 90degree 3/16" elbow. There is no reason for the elbow on an intercooled motor, and the 1/4" wastegate actuator hose is too large in diameter. One end must be 3/16" to fit into the valve, the other end should be 1/4". I found a piece of hose that fit over the 3/16" BARB and into the 1/4" hose. WOW! Love it. What a convienience! I pop the hood and turn a small valve now instead of jacking the car up and messing with the wastegate actuator! You will be amazed at how much boost you are wasteing as the actuator starts bleeding off on it's way to fully opening. This is without a doubt the most ponies for the buck!
