Swapping 230FT into 240 wagon? 200 1990

Hello,

I am in the market for an '89-'92 240 wagon, but I'd like to drop a B230FT in it. My original plan was to find a wagon with a dead engine, so this would basically fit-only now I am undertaking the task of changing the wiring/computer/etc...instead of just putting in a new B23F longblock. Has anyone ever done this conversion before? I suspect it's not really all that difficult, but just time consuming. My ideal setup would be an '89-'90 B230FT bottom end, a fully prepped (ported/polished) turbo head, Mitsubishi turbo, 90+ exhaust manifold, M46 4 speed, and a 3.something or other rearend. I think with a little crank-up on the boost, VX cam, MVP exhaust and thottle body, and an extrude hone job on the intake I'd have a surprisingly quick 240 wagon...Any ideas on this conversion?

Thanks,

Matthew C. Hall

P.S. About how much does a 240 wagon weigh?
