Hesitation on accelleration 140-160 '72

I posted recently on my problems with my recent installation of a Pertronix electronic ignition in my 142e. The car was running fine before I decided to "improve" the efficiency of the car. Perhaps I should have left well enough alone? At present, the car starts great, idles great but hesitates upon accelleration. Once the RPM's get up there, it will smooth out and rum okay. Timing is good, spark is good, fuel is good. Power to the coil is correct. I have replaced the cap, plug wires, rotor and the plugs are in good shape from recent tune-up. Am I missing something obvious? Should I just give up and put the points back in so that my daughter can drive to school again and I can get out of the dog house?
