Underheating? try a new t-stat! 120-130 67.5

I had the same thing happen-

one winter, the car just stopped warming up as much as it had the previous winter.

$28 for a new Volvo thermostat, adn off I went. Actually, $13 for an aftermarket thermostat, 3 weeks of wildly fluctuating temps, THEN the volvo part, and all was well.

The temp gage is pretty darn sensitive- I think the center range is only a 20 degree F band from low to hi, so if the thermostat is less precise, the gage reflects that.

But for underheating, unless you have an aftermarket oil cooler, the thermostat should fix the temperatures.
