A couple of months ago I purchased a few parts from a regular contributor to Turbobricks and this site. Answered an add in this section and we agreed upon a price. Sent my money like a good boy and received the parts. The turbo (part of shipment) was dirty and the actual wheel was very stiff to turn. I mentioned this, and was told this was judged to be a good turbo by someone. Not feeling comfortable with this unit before installation, I sent it to Houston for their analysis and clean up. Figured $275 wouldn't be too bad. Well, the bad news hit today, nearly $550 to put it into shape.

One of the other parts, a flex plate is very rusty. Now, I have pulled many flex plates etc and never have seen one that rusty. Took some work to clean it up to be useable.

It would be nice if we could trust advertisers to be honest and not put crap out under the banner of 'like new' or some such other euphemism. Anyway, what was a fair deal is costing me.
