I'm about to tackle this same job. Been putting the rear window off as long as possible. I did notice that when doing the side windows the ammonia really helped alot but it took some time. I would spray them and get them really wet with ammonia, then I placed a plastic shopping bag (like walmart bag) on the glass to hold the ammonia in place and keep it from evaporating. every 30 min or so i'd re-wet it with more ammonia. Keeping at this got the ashesive very soft. Good luck!!
