I need Advice 200 1983

First off - this isn't really Volvo related, more so it's regarding 'high milage' cars.

A guy down the street from me is selling a 1987 9000 Saab Turbo. The Turbo isn't froze up, and the engine has about 195,000 on it.

Now - Are Saab's known to be 'good' stable cars like Volvo's? I have never owned one, but truthfully it looks rather cool and I am truely thinking about shelling out the 950.00 he wants for it. I'm going down to check compression and try to see what kind of leaks it has, if any. Would any of you suggest buying it, or would it be better to pass it by as it might be near to the end of it's lifespan.

Jeff
