Re: Warning: Reformulated gas issues. ALL

I wonder if an alternative would be to run the system dry on shutdown.

It would be easy on a carbureted car but not so sure on an injected

car. When I was storing my 164e in Charleston, SC between trips to the

US I used the green stuff for lawnmowers and put in 2 or 3 bottles in

a tank which I then drove to the nearest station and filled all the

way to the top (to avoid condensation in that humid climate and

also to minimize the size of the air/fuel interface). That seemed to

work fairly well. At least I never had any stuck injectors.

While I applaud the efforts of those who want to help the corn farmers,

I believe corn probably should be used to feed people, make tortillas,

etc, then animals (Hard to beat beef fed on corn and bluestem grass)

and maybe make white lightning as a last resort, NOT motor fuel. If

God had intended us to burn corn squeezin's in our cars He would not

have given us petroleum!
