940 vs. 850 900

I currently own a 88 240 wagon and love it. But it has seen some hard miles before me and is rough in some ways. I want to get a newer Volvo with air bags since I carry my family around in it. I am intereste in folks opinions about 940's and 850's and how they compare. I like the simplier design of the 940 especially with concerns to rwd, but I love the 850 look. I would love to hear peoples experience with the two cars. What about the 960? I hear mixed reviews with the 6 cylinder engine. Thanks
