Electrics 900 1995

How is the 940's electrical system as a whole when compared to the 850's? Is it more complex, simpler, wired better, etc? I'm surprised that C.R. rated the 850's electrics much worse than average and gave the 940's system much better marks. I'll bet it's because the 850 has more gadgets.
