Turn signal turns engine off! 200 84

It's something in circuit #13, or in the instrument cluster (or related grounds).

Circuit #13 has both the turn signals and instruments.

Initial symptom was that the ALT light would flash dimly with the turn signal. Later an added symptom: the seatbelt warning (circuit #4) would weakly sound with the turn signals.

More recently, now the engine shuts off. It is preceded by the ALT. light glowing brightly AND the loss of the TACH (and, I think, the fuel guage).

Re-starting requires some waiting, wiggling wires, and flicking the turn signal lever. Not sure what actually gets it going.

I suspect something in the #13 circuit or some ground to the instruments.

There was a "Electrical Gremlin in my 740" thread some time ago. That involved the sngine turning off with use of the headlights. Remedy was a bad ground.

Any ideas what to look for as I study the wiring diagram?
