Re: using hours instead of mileage 700 1988

I gave up on cat litter several years ago when I used to throw it down on the driveway and walks as traction material during winter. It always got tracked into the house, made a nasty mess outdside and I never thought it made such a good oil-sorb anyway.

During a visit to Sears I stopped to read the package of their oil-sorb.

D.E. and sand.

So, I started experimenting. The D.E. did a great job of "scrubbing" the driveway, which I needed, because it is the walkway to the house, for the most part. Addind sand didn't help much, so I eliminated it and now use D.E. alone.

I found I could brush it over the spill and it would "bind up" the deposit, leaving a faint white patch which would not get tracked inside.

Besides, I always have plenty of it on hand for the pool. Using it eliminates the need for storing two large bags of product.
