stupid oil 700 1988

Hey all,

As you can guess, it is me again. Thanks for all the advice so far guys! One last thing for you.....

I've heard about how the volvos throw around alot of oil......it seems true in my NA 2.3.......i mean, you know the "dip" in the air intake pipe? Well, thats basically level with oil......every time i pull it off (i've pulled it off 3 times a couple of weeks apart, i do a fair bit of driving). The car hasn't used any oil in 3,500 k's though.....which i think i s strange for any car. With the oil in the air intake, what the hell causes that? How do i fix that?! My guess is there is something really strange with the oil trap thing. (also, just in case it meens something, my dist. oil seals do leak, also what looks like a reasonable amount, but again, no oil loss.....where is all this oil coming from?!) (my guess is it is the original one on the car - everything else is on the car!) Any help would be appreciated.... ALSO!! Wait! hehe

My air intake hose on the bottom has three small holes (about 2 cm long, 2 mm wide) on the bottom of the air intake hose, i taped them up with silver gaffer tape, so would it be worth replacing yet, or is it something that should've been replaced a while ago?!

Thanks all!
