vaccum hoses 200 1981

I have a canadian built 1981 245dl. I t was running really rich so I took it to the local garage. (Not a volvo mechanic because the nearest one I know of is 200+ Km away.) When I went in to pick up my car they had disconnected hoses & plugged hoses & left some dangling. My car does run much better now but all those hoses must have had a purpose. So, can anyone help me to find the ultimate setup for all these hoses?
